Dr Graham Riach is a Departmental Lecturer in World Literature at the University of Oxford. His research focuses on genre and aesthetics in contemporary world literature. While finishing one project – Short Change: Writing and Politics in the Post-Apartheid Short Story – he is developing two others: Disconsolate Forms: Postcolonial Aesthetics and Global Narratives of Ageing. His interest in broadening and diversifying the syllabus has led him to convene the M.St. in World Literature and to participate in open days and access programmes for schools.
